Women Force Conducts Raids to Destroy Illegal Liquor Shops, Police Silent

Webdesk, TNI Jamaldaha, 23rd August, 2017: Mekhliganj again saw an uprising of the women force in destroying the illegal liquor points of Mekhliganj, Jamaldaha. However, the main concern and allegation are that the administration remained a silent spectator.
Today the incident occurred between 8 pm to 11:30 pm at Jamaldaha Bazar area. Many litres of illegal liquor and bottles were recovered in this process. The houses of the sellers and the shops were destroyed by the women force.
In this process, some women of the women force were also attacked and got injured. Members of the women force alleged that the police didn’t pay attention to their request to do a raid. A police officer came from Mekhliganj Police Station and had given verbal assurance to conduct raids.
